HEREFORD United's 100 per cent record against the bottom six Conference clubs should put them in good stead for tomorrow's clash with York City at Edgar Street.
This season, the Bulls have landed 10 out of 10 league victories over the lowly half-dozen -- York, Canvey Island, Northwich Victoria, Forest Green Rovers, Farnborough Town and Leigh RMI.
Further triumphs against the struggling Minstermen and Forest Green on Tuesday would put third-placed Hereford in the box seat to clinch a play-off place.
Hereford maintained their solid form in defence last Tuesday by registering a fourth consecutive shut-out in the entertaining goalless draw with Carlisle United.
The Bulls' director of football Graham Turner is confident of breaking down York.
Turner said: "It's a game that we have got to win. I don't think it will be easy, though. York have got a new manager, Billy McEwan, who has got them organised.
"I expect they will be stubborn in defence but we are good enough to
break them down. We have shown that we are more than capable of creating chances, although it was disappointing that we did not score past Carlisle.
"York have had a lot of problems financially and they are in difficulties. It's no surprise that they have struggled in the Conference and it will take them a little bit of time to recover. Sooner or later, they will get things right again.
"We said over the Easter period that it was important to take six points from two games and we did that. It's the same target again. We've got two games and we have got to look at taking three points from both of them."
Turner's selection dilemma will be who to start in attack. In-form Adam Stansfield has partnered Lee Mills in United's previous two games but on-loan striker Leroy Williams returns to the fray after completing his three-game ban.
Fellow forward Danny Carey-Bertram is still serving the last of a three-game ban.
Turner added: "I've told Leroy to go out there and score goals. Hopefully, he will have learnt his lesson from the Farnborough game.
"There are a couple of options for us. Adam is enjoying a terrific little spell. He is a goalscorer and he gets himself in good areas.
"Lee is still carrying the odd tweak. But games are coming thick and fast and he knows he will have to be at the top of his game physically."
Wing-back Simon Travis, who has spent a fortnight resting a groin problem, is back in contention for a starting place.
