BRIAN Miller makes a plaintive cry (and one can sympathise with his sentiments) to the Editor to not publish any further political letters until after the election.
But this would surely strike at the heart of our few remaining rights, one of which is to raise legitimate points of political concern.
It must not be forgotten that politicians are subservient to the electorate, not the masters of it (as they would like us to believe).
It is also worth pointing out that unless we withdraw from the EU the Brussels' unelected political elite will steamroller aspects of the new constitution into law, our law, regardless of any referenda in any country, which will effectively make any statement critical of the EU and its politicians illegal.
What do you mean that sounds like uncle Joe Stalin? Too right it does!
Whistleblowers of the EU are already treated like criminals. The EU accounts haven't been fiscally acceptable for nine years. Brussels expects us to carry on rolling over and thanking them for giving us our money back.
Enough. Let's make the UK independent again, before it's too late.
NICK CHANCE,
Severn Stoke.
