A HUSBAND and wife team who have notched up 50 years' service to Marks & Spencer between them were given a well-earned break to pick up long service awards.

Steve and Tracey Trow, who work for the Kidderminster branch, attended a champagne reception at London's famous Grosvenor House Hotel to mark the occasion.

They joined more than 200 staff from across the UK who were rewarded for up to 40 years of loyal service.

After a welcome from the company's chief executive Stuart Rose, Steve and Tracey were presented with a widescreen television and digital camcorder to mark their achievement of 25 years' service each.

Steve, who began his career as a sales adviser in the Kidderminster store, said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed working for Marks & Spencer over the years. It is very rewarding to be part of such a talented team, especially at Kidderminster, where no two days are the same."

Steve and Tracey were also treated to a West End Show and an overnight stay in a top London hotel before being whisked back to Kidderminster all courtesy of M&S.
