MORE than 1,000 people have so far jumped at the chance to name a new rose in a competition launched by Webbs of Wychbold to help raise funds for St Richard's Hospice.
TV gardener Alan Titchmarsh will be presenting the winners with an array of prizes at the Malvern Spring Gardening Show.
Webbs will be selling the newly-named roses from mid-May at £8.99 and will donate £1 to the St Richard's New Hospice Appeal for every rose bought this year.
They are also donating 250 roses for hospice staff to sell at the gardening show at the Three Counties Showground from May 13 - 15.
The closing date for entries is Monday, April 18, and entry forms are available from Webbs. Alternatively visit the website www.webbsofwychbold.co.uk or pop into any St Richard's shop or contact the hospice fund-raising department on 01905 763963.
The winner will receive:
A two-night break in London for two.
Up to 25 of the newly-named rose bushes.
Two tickets to the Malvern Spring Show.
£50 of Webbs gift vouchers.
