MOTORISTS have been able to get back on to the A38 Droitwich bypass a week earlier than planned, after roadworks were finished ahead of schedule.
The stretch of road between Copcut Roundabout and the Ombersley turn-off has been closed for a fortnight while resurfacing works takes place. It was due to be re-opened next Monday but the work was completed in time for this morning's rush hour.
"Good conditions and hard work have made the early finish possible," said Jon Fraser, the network control manager at Worcestershire County Council.
"I'd also like to thank motorists for their patience''
