THE story of how some home-made smoothies turned into the UK's fastest-growing food and drinks business will be told in lively detail at the annual Business Festival.
Innocent drinks is one of the huge commercial success stories of the 21st Century.
The firm, which is based in London, started in 1998, when two people set up a stall at a city music festival selling their own smoothie recipes.
They put up a sign asking "Do you think we should give up our jobs to make these smoothies?'' and asked people to throw their empties into either the ''yes'' bin or the ''no'' bin. By the end of the day the ''yes'' bin was full and the next day they resigned.
Now the story of the company's meteoric rise can be heard when Dan Germain speaks at the Business Festival on Thursday, May 26.
Organised by the Chamber of Commerce Herefordshire and Worcestershire, the Business Festival takes place at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern.
