MINI mad Brockhill racer Paul Crees was at Silverstone at the weekend for the latest round of the Mighty Minis Championship.
Crees managed to finish qualifying in eighth position out of 25 cars on the start grid but the racer thought he could do better.
He said: "Qualifying was a bit of a pain because it was difficult to get a clear lap.
"The suspension wasn't quite right either. It could have been much better."
Crees got another quick start as the race got underway and soon moved up to sixth position thanks to his slipstreaming technique.
But a couple of laps later and the 28-year-old was back to square one in eighth.
With not much time remaining Crees launched his final assault on the leaders and scraped another position back, claiming seventh at the finish.
Crees added: "I would like to again thank Southam Mini and Metro Centre for all their hard work and my main sponsor Oxon Technologies."
Crees is next in action at Castle Coombe on Saturday.
