THE expected amalgamation of the Redditch and Bromsgrove police divisions will take place on May 1st, with Superintendent WD Gibson, presently in charge of the Redditch division, in command.
This is the effect of an order issued this week by the Chief Constable of Worcester, Captain J E Lloyd-Williams.
When the change takes place, Inspector GJ Davies, of Droitwich, who 14 months ago was in control of the case at Feckenham in which a man was charged with attempted suicide, will be second in command to superintendent Gibson.
