MOTORISTS are being warned of additional delays on the A435 Alcester Road in Studley when the temporary traffic lights currently in operation are changed from two to three-way operation.
The change is likely to cause additional congestion and motorists are advised to use the alternative route from Mappleborough Green Island through Redditch to Spernal Ash. The route is signposted.
From Monday, three-way lights will be in operation on the island by the Barley Mow pub at the junction with High Street and are expected to be in use for about three weeks.
The £406,000 project is part of National Grid Transco's on-going programme to replace old metallic mains with new plastic ones.
This is designed to minimise the amount of future maintenance work required and will ensure safe and secure supplies of gas.
