ARCHDALES '73 moved six points clear at the top of Midland Combination Division Two with a hard-working 3-0 win against rivals Droitwich Spa.
Dales opened brightly, causing the Droitwich defence several problems with Darren Tafft twice going close to breaking the deadlock.
At the other end, Andy Keenahan was busy but Dales 'keeper Dean Smith was alert to his trickery.
In the second-half, young winger Sam Green was on top form, giving full-back Adam Holland a hard time with his electric pace.
But it was Tafft who provided the piece of magic to unlock the door as his pin-point free-kick was excellently headed home by the outstanding Neil Mogford.
With Droitwich pressing for an equaliser, a superb through-ball by man-of-the-match Steve Hazelden put Ashley Banner one-on-one with 'keeper Nick West and he coolly lobbed home.
With time running out, Green burst down the wing to cross for Gordy Beauchamp who hammered home a third goal in front of another fine crowd of 182.
Meanwhile, Nunnery Wood Sports drew 0-0 at Feckenham Reserves.
