YOU have published a number of letters recently about the new wheelie bin service in Bromsgrove.
Where I live we have been looking forward to the new service and to the chance to easily recycle some of our waste. At the end of last month I rang the council to enquire when we could expect to get our new bin, to be informed we would not! If a decision has been made to exclude us from this service why was it made, when, and by whom, and most of all - why weren't we informed?
I received my council tax bill the other day and did not see any discount on it to allow for the fact that we will not be getting the full service!
Others in the town have been issued with a new bin at council tax payers expense. Will I get my old bin replaced when it wears out and if I am being required to move rubbish to the roadside - when I have not been given a bin designed to do the job - will the council accept liability for any injury I suffer?
The whole change over to a new collection regime has been mishandled and this has been compounded by the lack of information.
