NIL points Mr Gregson - to coin a phrase, you'll have to do better than this if you are going to impress your European lords and masters. Promoting a budget that has little to interest pensioners when there are better offers on the table from other parties, is not good enough.

I shall be 65 next year and am looking for more than a derisory one-off handout which, as it happens, I shall miss anyway.

The future doesn't look encouraging to me under your party. Why don't you stop treating pensioners to hand-outs and give them the respect they deserve with an increase that will give them the self respect they have earned.

There are 11 million grey voters out there watching Labour and I for one would prefer the £25 regularly in my pocket to the pittance that you consider is good news. Good riddance is what I say.
