Having read with interest your readers' ongoing tales of woe following the introduction of the new wheelie bin system, I am writing to commend the efforts of the refuse teams towards a particular resident of Mountserrat Road, The Oakalls, Bromsgrove.
This particular resident is obviously the exception to the rule, having grey, green and re-cycling bins emptied every week, often at the inconvenience of different teams attending twice during the day.
While returning my bin to my drive during a recent 'grey bin day' it was interesting to watch the green bin being emptied into the lorry after overhearing a conversation between the workers discussing "Does he still live there then? Yes...ok, will do."
It was also enlightening to see that an overfilled bin was emptied with ease into the lorry and extra rubbish was just thrown in.
Both myself and my husband have witnessed the occurrence of these extra visits on a weekly basis and quite frankly now would like to know - who lives there? And what do we need to do to ensure our bins are collected in this highly commendable way without reference to the extra costs it is taking from our over inflated council tax.
