Barnt Green Spartak 3 Coleshill Town 1
A DEVASTATING second half performance ensured Spartak maintained their excellent run of form on Saturday.
Spartak's run of eight games unbeaten in the Midland Combination Premier Division had looked in danger when Danny Carter put Coleshill ahead.
However, Kieron Holland, Sean Burrell and Warren Sewell struck after the break to ensure Spartak continued to cement fifth place.
After being caught out for the opening goal Barnt Green raised their game in the second half.
Alex Lewis made Spartak's leveller, when he cut into the box and squared the ball for Holland to slot the ball past Coleshill's goaleeper from six-yards out.
Burrell then put his side ahead in the 65th minute when he headed Lewis's corner into the back of the net.
Captain Zahoor Suliman then opened up Coleshill's defence with an incisive pass and Sewell made it 3-1 in the 79th minute.
Barnt Green pushed home their advantage in the final minute and Holland had a shot cannon off the post, before Suliman should have done better after rounding keeper Miles Day.
Spartak can take a big step to sealing fifth place when they take on Brocton at home on Saturday (2.45pm kick off).
