A PITCHILL rugby player packed a punch when he led the England Under-18 side to success in the Four Nations Championships.
George Hughes scored a couple of early tries in a 48-13 win over Scotland. A 38-19 defeat of Ireland followed before a 20-6 defeat against Wales saw the two countries share the championship crown.
The teenager, now studying for his A Levels at Chelt-enham College, started his rugby career at Stratford as an Under-8 and has set his sights on a place at Bath University where he will be able to continue to train with the city's Academy.
