The famous Settle to Carlisle route is the subjects of our April meeting. This railway line has a lot of history to it, a few years ago it was nearly closed, but it has been kept open, and now sees regular steam runs over it.
Our speaker David Alison has first hand knowledge of the line as he lives not far from it in Cumbria and also travels the line on a regular basis. Our speaker a life long railway enthusiast who travels the world taking photographs of steam trains, plus the history to go with it.
This is David's first visit to the club, and we are all looking forward to seeing his presentation
The meeting will be held today (Wednesday). We meet at St Godwald's Church Hall, Aston Fields. For further details please contact Dave on 01527 873800 or Gordon on 01527 873609.
