A WORRIED mum has hit out at a building firm after raw sewage flooded into her garden.

Claire Renshaw, of Rowan Close, said this was just the latest disaster in a catalogue of problems at the David Payne Homes site off Willow Road.

The incident happened when the sewage pipes were cut during work and raw sewage came into her garden where her six-year-old son was playing. He ran back into the house covered in it.

"The work on the new houses started about a month ago and there have been problems ever since then," said the angry mum.

"I can't hang my washing out because of all the dust, we've got no TV reception because all the machinery is causing interference and now the sewage."

She added: "I work nights so am also having problems sleeping in the day with all the work and noise. I have tried speaking to the builders, but am having no luck at all."

Claire said she could no longer let her son play in the garden because it was not safe and was also worried because she claims the site has not been properly fenced off.

David Payne Homes Ltd is working on the nearby Willows site, which is a development of one-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom mews style and three bedroom semi-detached houses.

A spokesman for the company said there was no comment on the incidents.
