THE date of the parish poll over the Droitwich Lido issue has been confirmed as Thursday, April 28.
It has caught the imagination of many townsfolk as a last chance to make their voices heard about the future of the unique saltwater lido and was requested at a public meeting two weeks ago.
Wychavon District Council will set up 14 polling stations around the town.
Spa folk will be able to vote from 4pm and polling will end at 9pm.
The questions will be:
l Do you wish to see your sea-bathing lido restored to its former splendour and fully operational?
l Would townsfolk be happy to see an increase in their council tax bill of an average of £1 per month to cover the operational costs of keeping the lido open?
l Do you oppose Wychavon District Council's proposal to have the lido site demolished and incorporated into the Lido Park?
The Save a Lido Today (SALT) campaign headquarters on the day of the poll will be at the Old Library, in Ombersley Street.
A spokeswoman for SALT said: "We have a number of events planned in the run up to the poll which we hope will encourage residents to come out and vote in support of the lido."
She added: "We will be out on the streets delivering leaflets and out on the road canvassing for support for the Lido. We hope those residents that can vote do vote and vote 'yes, yes, yes' on April 28."
