COMPUTER software giant Misys - one of Worcester's largest employers - took inspiration from across the Channel when it hosted a charity breakfast.
The company's headquarters in Warndon were transformed into a Parisian-style caf as staff took time out to sell croissants and pastries as part of Cancer Research's Biggest Breakfast Event.
They joined thousands of people across the UK who organised their own breakfast parties to help fund research into the treatment, cause and prevention of cancer.
Following the success of last year's fund-raising for the Alzheimer's Society and Diabetes UK, Misys has challenged staff to raise at least £3,000 for Cancer Research UK.
If the target is achieved by the end of the year, the company pledges to add a further £3,000. If the target isn't achieved, Misys will make up the shortfall.
"In order for cancer to be controlled within the next two generations, the Worcestershire region alone needs to raise £400,000," said the company's chief executiv,e Phillip Bell.
"I have no doubt that staff will continue to offer generous support and that our targets will be exceeded once again."
