E-MAILS and text messages alone could be used to inform people about planning applications if Wychavon Council decides to opt for this method.
It is one of a number of possibilities of how people could be consulted in future, but the council wants to hear the public's views.
"Should we use exhibitions to ask for views on the future development of Wychavon?" asked a spokesman. "Or should we only use e-mails and text messaging instead?
"Is there enough planning information on our websites and do you still want to receive letters from us informing you about your neighbour's planning application?"
The planning team at the council is producing its Statement of Community Involvement and a questionnaire about how residents want to be informed is available on www.wychavon. gov.uk from next Monday.
It can also be collected from the civic centre in Droitwich as well as Evesham and Pershore libraries and one-stop shops.
