RBL WOMEN'S SECTION: Held their monthly meeting at St Wulstan's Hall. The meeting was opened by chairman Wendy Griffiths.

The minutes of the last meeting were read, followed by the treasurer's and sick visitor's reports. Wendy then read and discussed the proposals and motions to be voted at the national conference at Brighton later this month. Five members including standard bearer Ivy Reed, will be attending the conference.

The speaker for the evening was Ms Brumhead, manager and librarian at Pershore Library. Members enjoyed an interesting and informative talk on her work.

After refreshments, the raffle and monthly draw was made. The meeting closed at 9pm. The branch will have two stalls at the carnival on May 30, a cake stall and a tombola. Donations are welcome for these.

FLOWER CLUB: The March meeting of Pershore Flower Club was well attended, members and visitors were treated to a demonstration by Christine Peer, who used flowers and foliage from her garden.

The next meeting will be next Wednesday at 7.30pm in St Wulstan's Hall, Priest Lane, Pershore when the demonstrator will be Margaret Eccleston, from Staffordshire. Her title is Purely for Pleasure. Visitors welcome.
