HOW I agree with Roger Martin about the ills of religion.
Fanatics of all types, Christian, Muslim and Jewish, justify their beliefs, however murderous, by reference to ancient writings, so-called divinely inspired, handed down over hundreds and thousands of years.
To even question these beliefs, let alone disagree with them, may soon be an incitement to religious hatred. Science and reason, to which every major modern advance in human happiness is due, are increasingly swamped by tides of religious (and secular) mumbo-jumbo.
