TWO thought-provoking shows are being staged in Chipping Norton this weekend.
The Dream Dealer is a new children's musical by the Chipping Norton Youth Theatre and The Diaries of Marjorie Simpson is a moving and funny one-woman show staged by Elaine Paintling of Laurielorry Theatre.
The Dream Dealer in on tomorrow afternoon and evening and involves local schoolchildren aged ten to 16.
Set in a playground, it tells the story of a new pupil and a street salesman who arrive at school and although the salesman first seems to be selling just ice-creams, it is soon clear that this Pied Piper is selling habits that can ruin lives.
On Saturday, Marjory Simpson takes the stage and invites the audience into her life.
Elaine Paintling worked on her part with Olivier Award-winning Mark Whitelaw in the show which is for 14 and overs.
