Kidderminster's Malcolm Brown, in his Westfield SEi sports car, leads the 30-strong entry for the Worcestershire Production Car Trial on Sunday.
Brown, a production car trial competitor for 30 years, was the British Trial and Rally Drivers Association "Gold Star" champion.
Having organised a trial and three hill climbs already this year, Hagley and District Light Car Club's 70th year of organising top class motor sport events has had a busy start.
The trial, which comprises both the BTRDA and MSA championships, has attracted double the numbers of entrants to the first two rounds of the 2005 Production Car trial year.
Among other competitors at Hurtle Hill Farm, Heightington, is the 2004 MSA British champion, Barrie Parker, from Virginia Water, in a Peugeot XSi.
The event starts at 10.30am on Sunday, with free admission for spectators. For more details contact the secretary on 01902 896699, or visit www.hdlcc.com.
