Kidderminster angler Richard Billingham completed a trio of fine performances with a second place at Woodlands View Fishery.
The matchman finished second behind Martin Tayloe on the Ghost Pool with more than 60lb of carp and silvers in his net, this success following wins in the opening two matches, at Wassell Grove and Moorlands Farm.
Billingham took carp to 5lb at Wassell Grove, fishing at 16m to the island on red maggot, and a similar method saw off the opposition at Moorlands Silver pool with red maggot over Moorland pellet at 14m.
Tayloe used pellet throughout the rearranged match at Woodlands, taking carp to 7lb at 13m and 16m.
Wassell Grove Brook pool: Billingham 20-13, Mark Lancett 9-12, Steve Cleavely 8-15, Keith Clarke 7-12, Stuart Tibbetts 5-12, Mark johnson 5-6.
Moorlands Silver: Billingham 24-7, Tim Jones 21-3, Johnson 20-12, Emile Dymow 12-10, Roger Butler 10-15, Clarke 9-1.
Woodlands View Ghost: Tayloe 64-4, Billingham 60-13, Tibbets 58-0, Jones 48-12.
Johnson continued his recent good form with a sin on the Island Pool on Sunday. He caught well from the start, fishing the pole in the margins, taking carp to 6lb on double corn over caster.
Andy Bentley fished swimfeeder to the island for carp and silvers, feeding maggot with hook bait for second place.
Dave Lewis secured third with a bag of carp, and Clarke landed a common of 10lb 10oz.
Result: Johnson 48-6, Bentley 40-12, Lewis 30-12, Clarke 23-8, Cleavely 15-14, Tibbetts 15-4.
There will be a contest on Sunday at Furnace Mill, 8am draw, fishing 9am until 2pm.
