A PHOTOGRAPH that was kept in a wallet for more than 60 years has been claimed by its owner from Harvington.
Last week the Journal published a story about John Morgan from Birmingham who was appealing for the owner of the photo to come forward.
The black and white photo featured Diana Davis, aged about 18 months. Mr Morgan has had the photo since he was evacuated to stay with her family in the Vale during the Second World War.
Journal reader Diana Cresswell, nee Davis, saw the photo and thought the girl looked like her but was not sure. She looked at some old photos of herself and realised it was.
The 66-year-old retired cleaner said: "I contacted John and as soon as he told me where he had stayed during the war I knew the picture was definitely of me."
Mrs Cresswell has sent Mr Morgan some pictures of her family and is hoping to meet up with him again.
