AN award-winning production of a classic thriller is heading the new season line-up at the Everyman in Cheltenham.
Theatre spokeswoman Meg Jackson is promising 'new drama tastier than a cider lolly', along with music, musicals and comedy to see audiences through the summer.
There's glitz and glamour galore until Saturday when the Spirit of Broadway, a show tunes extravaganza from the makers of Spirit of the Dance boasts the 'highest-kicking chorus girls this side of New York'.
Then on Tuesday, J B Priestley's An Inspector Calls is brought to life by the National Theatre in an award-winning stage show which has been a hit all over the world and won more awards than any other play in history.
Stephen Daldry, Oscar-nominated for directing Billy Elliott, produced the show and the cast is of top West End actors.
The story sees Inspector Goole call unexpectedly on the prosperous Birling family and bring startling revelations which shatter their lives.
It runs from Tuesday to Saturday and paves the way for more top shows throughout the summer.
Orphans, Journey's End and An Evening with Queen Victoria (starring Prunella Scales) head up the drama shows, while Lady Salsa, The Counterfeit Stones and Abba Mania are among the musical treats in store. Then, as well as stand-up comedians Mark Steel and Richard Herring, enjoy some more laughs with Breakaway Blues and Arsenic and Old Lace, among other treats.
