THE society meets six times a year, including a Christmas Celebration in the saloon at Hartlebury Castle.
At least one additional outing to a place of interest is arranged for members during the summer months. The talks are varied but all feature subjects of historical or local interest.
The February meeting was a definite link with the museum and the castle, as members were given a talk by Margaret Goodrich, widow of the late Bishop Phillip Goodrich, who shared her knowledge of the castle and its previous occupants.
The talk was followed by a tour of the staterooms with an opportunity to visit the Hurd Library, not normally open to visitors.
