CANDIDATES vying to represent Wyre Forest in Parliament will be grilled during a Question Time-style event in Bewdley.
Bewdley Baptist Church's Minister, Keith Judson, will chair the panel, which will feature Labour's Mark Bayliss, Conservative, Mark Garnier, and Independent Health Concern's Dr Richard Taylor.
Mr Judson said: "We thought that it would be a good idea to hear the views and opinions of our local candidates to questions raised by local people.
"I am delighted that these candidates have agreed to join us and we are awaiting to hear from the other parties."
He added: "Of course, everyone is warmly welcome and you do not have to be a churchgoer to come along. Our church holds around 200 people and this is a wonderful opportunity for local people to raise local issues.
"By holding the meeting in our church, I hope that there will be a more relaxed and open flavour that is more difficult to achieve in traditional meetings."
People interested in attending will be able to submit questions in advance by e-mail, to
elections@bewdleybaptist.org.uk
They might have the opportunity to put the questions directly to the candidates themselves - as in the BBC's Question Time - on the night.
The event takes place in the church, at 7pm on Sunday, April 24.
