FANS of a 1960s sports car are taking a trip to Switzerland for an annual meeting.
Around 40 members of the Worcestershire Triumph Stag Club are expected to drive in convoy to the event next month.
The Stag, which was built in the late 60s and early 70s has become an object of desire for thousands of people world-wide.
Among those making the 900-mile journey is club co-ordinator Jane Collins.
Mrs Collins, aged 62, of Stourport, shared her interest with her husband Jim, who died 18 months ago.
"Jim was passionate about his Stag, and when he died, he had someone drive the car behind the hearse. Another nine Stag drivers joined in," she said.
"I used to go with him on club get-togethers, but it wasn't until he had a stroke that I drove it.
"It has a powerful V8 engine and took some getting used to.
"I have continued to go to the club since my husband died as it is such a great social event."
The Worcestershire Triumph Stag Club is looking for new members. Anyone who is interested should call Jane Collins on 07762 499396.
