MALVERN residents are being invited to get creative for this year's May Day event on April 30.
The theme will be The Planets, including anything space-related.
TV presenter Dick Strawbridge, of West Malvern, will judge the competitions.
Mr Strawbridge, who presents programmes including Scrapheap Challenge and Geronimo, will judge best costume, best model and best design.
Entries for the model and design competitions could include space ship or alien designs, paintings or collages. These should be submitted on the day to the Malvern Fringe stand at Malvern Theatres, before 1pm.
Entries should be clearly marked with the name, address, telephone number and age of the entrant, as well as the name of the parent or guardian if the entrant is under 16.
Besides judging, Mr Strawbridge will be running rocket workshops. People are invited to decorate a plastic bottle with nose and fins, which he will personally launch into space.
Further details of the competitions, and how to prepare rockets, are available on www.malvernfringe.co. uk.
