With the modern fashion for giving nothing but a negative slant on anything to do with younger people, I would like to highlight the work carried out by the Air Training Corps, and especially that of the our local ATC squadron, 1017.
My daughter has attended this squadron for a number of years and has developed well with her self-discipline, moral character and service to the community.
I would highly recommend joining the ATC for character building, education and having a generally great time. My daughter has flown in a Harrier and Jaguar aircraft. How many 15-year-old girls can say that!
I cannot praise our local squadron enough; all staffed by volunteers, so I would recommend any child to visit the squadron.
This is our local squadron and needs our support.
