A volunteer is needed to represent the views of Malvern Link rail passengers on a key local pressure group.
The post, with the Cotswold Line Promotion Group, involves delivering newsletters and information and passing on passengers' queries.
Malvern Link station has been the focus of complaints in recent years, including vandalism and anti-social behaviour.
Local resident Jackie Carey, though not a representative for the group, was an avid campaigner about the state of the railway, but has now given up.
"I had to admit defeat I'm afraid," she said. "I was struggling with it and my job and, after I got flu at Christmas, I couldn't face standing on cold platforms any more."
She said a change of job meant she no longer used the trains regularly.
"I don't feel I'm in touch with the issues enough any more," she said.
Group chairman Derek Potter said: "The post is really what you make of it. It's a case of what people would be willing to do for the benefit of the railways in the area.
"One of the big jobs is to distribute as many newsletters as possible to our members and to get feedback from people on their concerns."
He said the representative would then report to the group's committee.
"Issues can include the state of waiting rooms or the situation with timetables and fares," he said.
"It's also useful to keep a record of late running services so we can pass information on to train operators or Network Rail."
Mr Potter added: "We also want to get information across to passengers that we know about problems and are trying to solve them."
Though the unpaid post, which has been vacant for about two years, is open to anyone, Mr Potter said an interest in railways would be beneficial.
Applicants should contact group secretary Brian Clayton on 01386 701528 or Michael Stewart on 01684 560650.
