WORCESTER St Johns CC rider Gavin Poupart won the Velo Club Sevale 5.5m time trial in a time of 12m 40s, well ahead of the first club member, Will Davies.
Will's time of 13m 20s was good enough to relegate last week's winner, Brian Boswell, into third place, with veteran rider Mike Amery a close fourth.
Well done to the three juvenile riders, Rhys and Oliver Davey, and Sam Baylis - the sport needs more young riders.
The full results were G Poupart 12.40, W Davies 13.20, B Boswell 13.23, M Amery 13.34, T Ashworth 14.27, S Potter 14.40, T Knight 14.45, S O'Toole 14.46, A Tarling 14.50, R Davey 15.15, S Baylis 15.30, S Price 15.40, B Tarling 15.47, G Poulson 16.20, O Davey 19.05.
The next event is a 10-mile time trial on Thursday (April 21), starting at 7pm, using the Severn Stoke A38 course.
