A FORMER Labour councillor is jailed for rigging postal votes in Lancashire. Similar corruption among Labour councillors in Birmingham caused a Judge to label the UK's postal voting system as being that which would "disgrace a banana republic". Then Labour has the cheek to say that the postal voting system is safe.
This with their, now suspended, attempts to muzzle freedom of speech in the religious hatred speech clause - along with sting operations to arrest a right-wing political leader all go to show why this Labour Government has only made very low profile comments about Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe.
Perhaps the fear of the soubriquet "a pot calling a kettle black" being applied to Labour is muzzling democracy and freedom of speech at home and abroad.
ANDREW HALL,
Worcester.
