DISABLED people in the county are being reminded that the Worcestershire County Council Blue Badge Service will be moving today.
Anyone who uses the service - which provides parking concessions for people with a permanent and substantial disability whether they are the driver or passenger - will no longer be able to apply for the badges from the usual Social Services offices.
The service is being improved and made more accessible by being moved to Worcestershire Hub Customer Centres which are located throughout the county.
Sue Pidduck, the council's locality manager, said: "Providing the Blue Badge Service from a wider range of locations other than our existing service will not only offer a more accessible and efficient service, but customer service assistants at the centres will also be able to provide on-the-spot advice about a wide range of other services and information."
Anyone wanting more information can contact Dennis Buckley on 01905 766468.
From today you can enquire and apply for your Blue Badge online at www.worcestershire.gov.uk/bluebadge or pay a visit to:
