PACKS to persuade parents to join a campaign demanding more cash for schools were due to arrive on the desk of every headteacher in Worcestershire this morning.
Parents behind the campaign to stop alleged "discrimination" in the funding system hope schools will send the letter to all mums and dads and they in turn will write to Westminster asking for money.
If successful, a total of 500,000 letters - three from each county parent - would be forwarded to heap pressure on Tony Blair, Education Secretary Ruth Kelly and MPs.
The long-running crusade has come to a head after a Government
Green Paper recommended keeping the "flawed" funding system for the next three years.
County parents and accountants have come up with an alternative formula and are asking the next Government to examine it.
Public consultation is now underway and all letters must be received by Tuesday, May 3.
