YOUTH groups in Worcester are being urged to clean the streets by taking part in The Great Big Tidy Up campaign.
Art supplies firm Crayola launches the project this month and organisers are looking to recruit a variety of tidy-up squads including schools, Brownie packs, Cub Scout groups, youth clubs, families and friends.
The best clean-up project could win £500 cash and a Great Big Tidy Up accolade for the city.
Gary McClintock from Crayola said: "This year we launch a new way of taking the mess out of colouring with erasable markers which rub out just like a pencil, and now we want young people across the UK to get involved by erasing mess in their local areas.
"Everyone signing up to take part will receive a welcome pack with handy tidy-up tips and samples of the first batch of new erasable markers to hit the country."
A panel of judges will meet in May to assess the projects.
Groups wishing to take part should call the hotline on 0121 362 4036.
