AN operatic society will raise money for a charity that helps parents who have lost children in cot deaths fight future miseries.
The Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society will be raising money for Care Of the Next Infant, a charity that buys breathing monitors for parents with new children who have been through the ordeal of a cot death with earlier children.
The society will be collecting donations during performances of their new show, HMS Pinafore - the Australian Version. The show starts tomorrow and runs until Saturday, April 30, at the Swan Theatre.
The monitors, which trigger an alarm if the child stops breathing, cost between £350 and £500 and can only be bought via donations - they are not available on the NHS.
Tickets for the performances can be reserved at the Swan Theatre Box Office, or by calling 01905 611427.
