A NURSERY school in Worcester is enjoying a marvellous few months after a "wonderful" Ofsted report, successful relaunch and a new building on the way.
Education inspectors visited Dines Green Family Care Group, now Tudor Way Children's Centre, in February, for a routine check-up.
The Worcester nursery passed with flying colours as Ofsted noted "very good" standards across all six key aspects of the curriculum.
Last month, the pre-school, based at Dines Green Primary, which caters for 41 children, was also relaunched as a SureStart centre under its new name.
It is now preparing to expand into an upgraded, state-of-the-art building at the back of the Tudor Way school and offer full day care, from 8am until 6pm.
"It is a wonderful report and an exciting time for everyone here," said manager Annette Shaw.
"We have many of the same staff and the same children so we have maintained the best points from Dines Green Family Care Group and can really take it forward.
"The longer hours will really help out some parents."
Ofsted inspectors heaped praised on teaching, leadership and parental support in its report, published on the internet last week.
"Dines Green Family Care Group offers very good quality nursery education," the report said.
"Children make very good progress towards the early learning goals.
"The enthusiastic and committed staff team works closely together to provide a stimulating and interesting curriculum.
"Leadership and management are good and partnership with parents is very good."
Inspectors also complimented the children's imagination and sociable nature and the staff's "excellent knowledge", support and positive attitude.
Ofsted's only suggested improvements were to help children better understand the days of the week and the weather.
The nursery's new building will cost £500,000 and is expected to open by the end of May or beginning of June.
