CHARITABLE folk are being urged to slip on their walking boots and take part in a 10-day trek in India to raise cash for a children's hospice.
Acorns Children's Hospice - which opened a new centre for children with life-limiting illnesses in Worcester's Bath Road last month - is appealing for trekkers to travel to the country in October for the adventure, which starts in the capital, Delhi.
Participants will travel through the picturesque villages of Rajasthan, cross plains and deserts and follow the course of a dry riverbed into the spectacular foot- hills of the Aravali mountain range.
"Going to India with Acorns offers people the chance to add a little bit of spice to their lives and help raise much-needed funds along the way," said Caroline Taylor from Acorns.
Money raised will help Acorns continue to provide a network of dedicated care and support for 250 life-limited youngsters in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
