DOG lovers are being invited to take their furry four-legged friends along to Croome Park, near Pershore, on Saturday when it will host a day of canine events.
There will be competitions to find the scruffiest mutt, "waggiest" tail, "slobberiest" chops, saddest eyes and best-ball catcher and the winners will each receive a rosette.
The Dogs Trust, the UK's largest dog welfare charity, will also provide visitors with the opportunity to find out about the work of their dog rehoming unit and will be encouraging visitors to protect their dogs from loss or theft by micro-chipping for £9.50.
Local dog trainer Sue Harper will be on hand in the grounds to offer advice for problem pups, alongside Malvern Hills Dog Warden Paul Hine who will be available with general doggy tips, information and even free poop scoop bags, making this historic park a truly dog friendly day out.
Visitors can also find out more about the final stages of a 10-year restoration programme underway at the park, which was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Croome Park will be open from 10am, activities start at 11am and finish at 4pm, and the park will remain open until 5.30pm.
