AROUND 20 people, including some children, managed to collect 18 bags of rubbish from a Worcester nature reserve.
The litter pick at Lyppard Grange, Warndon Villages, was part of the annual month-long Rubbish? Sort It! campaign, which is being organised by the environmental charity The Worcestershire Duckworth Trust and supported by Worcester City Council.
Five of the bags of rubbish collected were made up of plastics and cans, which will be sent for recycling.
The city council's rangers and park wardens have been at clean-up events including Warndon woods, Fort Royal Park and the city's two main parks at Cripplegate and Gheluvelt.
