Whitchurch 15 Bromsgrove 12
North Midlands Cup semi-final
COACH Dean Ball slammed his players as a chance to win some silverware went begging on Saturday.
Ball felt a strong Bromsgrove side did not perform anywhere near their best.
He said: "I was spitting tacks at the end of the game because we were so lamentable.
"I don't know what some of the player' thought processes were but 90 per-cent of them were no-where near their best."
Tries for Richard Trigg and Richard Stockholm, one converted by Matt Birch, gave Bromsgrove hope.
Dave Wilkinson almost won his side the game after a surging late run, but his lay-off was dropped by Stockholm metres away from Whitchurch's try line.
Bromsgrove end the Midlands Division One on Saturday by entertaining Walsall at Finstall Park (3pm start).
