MOTORISTS are being asked for their help to trace a man who snatched a woman's handbag.
The theft happened at 8am on Thursday, when the woman was walking with her two young children through the Windmill Drive underpass linking Slimbridge Close to Evesham Road.
She was approached from behind by the man, who grabbed her bag from her hand and ran off with it.
DC Stuart Hunt, from Redditch CID, said "The man ran out of the underpass onto Evesham Road.
"We know traffic had built up at the island at this time with many cars at a standstill and it may be someone noticed him running with the bag."
Anyone with information can call Redditch police on 08457 444888.
The man is white, in his late teens-early 20s, 5ft 9ins tall and of a slim build.
He was clean-shaven and was wearing a black sports jacket, jeans and trainers.
