Studley 2

Oadby 2

BEES boss Kevin Rowlands remains upbeat after scrambling to a point against Oadby at the Beehive.

Rowlands believes one point from their remaining two games against Loughborough and Quorn could be enough to see them stay in the Alliance for next season.

He said: "Oadby have still got to go to Biddulph and Ludlow and they're very confident of getting six points.

"Just one point would take us above Ludlow, but saying that we're capable of getting at least four in the next two games.

"There's no reason why we can't beat Loughborough because they've got nothing to play for."

The Bees have also got an advantageous goal difference which could be crucial come the end of the season.

Rowlands added: "You cold see the goal difference as an extra point in the bag for us but we're not looking at it like that - we've got two games to go and we must concentrate on those."

Anthony Savery and Ravi Sangha were missing for Studley on Saturday but it didn't take long for Kevin Jones to add to his tally with a header on 28 minutes. Oadby's James Milner equalised but Bees' Kieron Cross put his side in front with another header at half time. Substitute Dave Fisher put the visitors back on level terms.

Rowlands said: "We were lucky again because they should have taken all three points - they deserved to. Craig Johnson's had three one-on-one's to deal with to keep us in the game.

"I think Oadby are one of the best teams in this division. Personally, I think they are very, very hard to play against just because of the system they play. It might not look it from their league position but next year they will definitely be challenging for promotion."
