Ludlow 0
Alvechurch 4
LOWLY Ludlow were no match for a pumped Alvechurch side as hitman Keith Rostill helped himself to a hat-trick at the Coors Stadium.
The Churchmen, who had beaten Oldbury 5-2 in midweek, were again on a goal-getting mission as Rostill netted on 24, 66 and 90 minutes added to by strike partner Liam O'Shea on 35 minutes.
But even after his five goals in two games not even the Church striker's manager Peter Frain doesn't think he's playing to his full potential.
"He's not playing out of his skin," said Frain.
"Keith's got a lot more to offer us but at present it is satisfying to see him knocking in the goals.
"I've probably never spent as much time talking to a player in one season as I have done with Keith but it's nice to see what we've been talking about coming through now.
"We've threatened to beat teams like we have in the last two games so many times this season but we just haven't put our chances away."
It is just the form Church boss Frain was looking for ahead of tonight's crucial Worcestershire Senior Urn final at Aggborough against Bromsgrove Rovers Reserves (KO 7.30).
Frain added: "It's good to think we're out of that relegation fight now so we can concentrate on the cup.
"I'm confident we can get a result. I'm sure Bromsgrove's side will be youthful but again we came up against the same kind of side at Castle Vale and managed to get through it."
