AM I satisfied with my council performance? No! Why you might ask?
Listed below are some valid reasons -
1 Footpaths - very poor surfaces.
In, and around the town, especially Kidderminster Road along the side of Sanders Park they are unfit to walk on for the elderly who are not steady on there feet. As for the footpath across the road from Perry Hall, the ivy and blackberry growth is not only dangerous but also unsightly - at least a foot thick in places. The growth of hedges around many areas are unacceptable and obstruct pavements.
2 Road surfaces - pothole mayhem.
3 Refuse collection.
Why is it when the refuse collectors appear they leave a trail of waste debris? Why green/grey, and two plastic bins. Droitwich has different coloured plastic liners, this would appear to be cheaper, and more acceptable by the residents.
4 Sanders Park - grass.
Who pays for the damage to the grass caused by fairground vehicles?
5 Council Tax.
Almost two per cent overpaid, and no refund, only an increase in the payment for 2005.
6 Car parking charges - for evenings. What is this council up to? What are they trying to do? What are they trying to achieve that the Council Tax increases cannot cover.
7 Bromsgrove's water feature.
The Spadesbourne Brook, disgusting to say the least, surely a health hazard?
8 Schools.
The total lack of schools.
What was a fine town is disappearing.
Wake up Bromsgrove District Council, and do something constructive. Restore our pride, and your pride.
