Droitwich Spa 2 Earlswood Town 3
PROMOTION chances slipped further out of Droitwich's grasp as an error-strewn display saw them slump to defeat on Saturday.
An error by goalkeeper Nick West in the second half handed Earlswood the winner.
It was a bad luck for spirited Spa, who had already battled from 2-0 down at half time.
Two errors in the first period had left Droitwich reeling.
However, striker Andy Keenahan hit the back of the net twice to drag his side back on level terms.
Unfortunately, West's error condemned his side to their second defeat in a row.
Manager Kevin Blaber has not given up on his side catching the top two in the Midland Combination Division Two.
He said: "We've hit a blip but we still have a chance if we can start winning again."
Droitwich go into a hectic period, which will determine if they go up or not, in the middle of an injury crisis.
Gary McGrillan, Gregg Cooper and Arron Goodwin are all doubts for Thursday's game at Handsworth.
Droitwich then entertain West Midlands Police on Saturday and go to Feckenham Reserves on Monday.
Blaber said: "We just need bodies to sit on the bench but we have a lot of injuries."
