I WAS sorry to read that O. M. Naish didn't get his garden waste collected two weeks before the date decided by Wychavon district council to end this collection.
My thoughts, however, have now turned to people who are on benefits or struggling on low incomes - will they be given an extra £16 for the purchase of 10 green waste bags.
The council tax has already been increased. Surely this should be enough to cover this cost.
Also pensioners are expected to carry out their own rubbish bags to the front of their property, bearing in mind that quite a few are in their 80s and 90s.
I find it difficult to believe the leaflet issued by Wychavon Disrict Council has been thought through properly.
